Immerse Yourself in God's Word This Year
Does Bible reading ever feel like a chore? Spending time in Scripture is vital for spiritual growth, yet many people struggle with confusion and boredom when they open the Bible. Immerse groups remove many of the barriers which make Bible reading difficult, paving the way for deep connection with God and others through the Scriptures.
We believe in 2022 you will experience the most significant spiritual growth in your life.
The Year of Discipleship
What is Immerse?
Immerse Groups are small groups of 5-10 people who gather together each week to read God's word and discuss. Immerse is an invitation to a different kind of community interaction with the Bible. Less like a Bible study, more like a book club.
-
Year-long reading plans take you through the entire Bible
-
Meet once a week for a free-flowing discussion about the text
-
Wrestle with questions and celebrate ‘aha!’ moments together

2) Join an Immerse Group here.
In 2022 there are no excuses not to read God's Word.
I don't have time. The daily reading takes less than 15 minutes. The average American spends over 3 hours each day watching television. If that time were used to read the Bible, the average person could read through the entire Bible 18 times each year. Make time this year and decide to grow in your faith.

I don't like to read. Conveniently, Immerse is available for free in audio book. The entire Bible available to listen to in the car, while working out, or even at work.
I don't understand the Bible. Immerse Groups are designed to help each other unpack the rich Biblical text. You'll walk away from this year confident about the meaning of God's Word.
I can't afford it. We've pre-purchased your copy of Immerse at a 40% discount of $60. You can pay up front or over the year for $5 per month. Don't let the cost of the Immerse Bible stop you from reading God's Word. Scholarships covering the full cost of Immerse are available by emailing us at info@calvarystockton.church.
I can't always attend my Immerse Group. That's okay. Choose a primary group and attend a different group meeting at a different day/time on the weeks you can't make it. Or, just let your group host know and make a plan to keep up with your reading while you're away.
Immerse Bible is...
The full text of the New Living Translation divided into 6 volumes, with brief introductions to each book. Nothing has been added or removed from the Bible text. Chapters and verses were added late in the Bible’s history: chapters in the 13th century and verses in the 16th century. While they can be helpful for finding things in Scripture, they also chop up the text and make it harder to concentrate on the words themselves. By removing them, the Bible text gets presented in a format that’s easier to read. Letters look more like letters, poetry looks like poetry, and stories read like stories.
